A Star City restaurant is rebounding from a grease fire that shut it down for weeks.

The Texas Roadhouse on state Route 7 has been closed March 8, and while the business is losing money during the down time, its managers are using the time to make some improvements, like a new "Mountaineer Room."

The damage in the kitchen was so severe the restaurant may have to stay closed for another week.

"All new hoods," said manager Keith Freeman. "A whole new hood system. And we've done a lot around here too to get opened up, but mainly the hoods. Once we get the hoods opened up we'll be good to go."

The restaurant aims to reopen early next week.
